Here are the most important new features highlighted by the official Adobe Commerce guides in the release notes.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Security<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>With more than 20 fixes and enhancements, version 2.4.5 of Magento promises to be an <strong>important release from a security<\/strong> point of view. Here&#8217;s how the new version improves security levels for virtual shops:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Google reCAPTCHA added to \u2018wish list sharing\u2019, \u2018new account creation\u2019 and \u2018gift card\u2019 forms.<\/li>\n<li>ACL resources added to inventory.<\/li>\n<li>strengthened the security of the Inventory template.<\/li>\n<li>MaliciousCode updated to HTMLPurifier.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Platform quality<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>With Magento version 2.4.5, Adobe has worked on several improvements to provide developers with an enhanced platform, which now benefits from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>support for Composer 2.2, TincMCE 5.10.2 and jQuery 1.13.1.<\/li>\n<li>upgrade of the DHL integration scheme from v6.0 to v6.2.<\/li>\n<li>upgrade of all obsolete Js libraries to the latest version in Magento 2.4.5.<\/li>\n<li>update of twenty composer dependencies to the latest version.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>GraphQL performance<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Magento 2.4.5 release also offers numerous improvements in GraphQL performance for the benefit of developers.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Faster reconstruction of the unified storefront GraphQL schema at deployment time.<\/li>\n<li>Ability of the GraphQL API to use the expiration date\/time of the authorisation token.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to completely disable session cookies for all GraphQL operations.<\/li>\n<li>The use of the session has been removed from the http header.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Payments<\/h3>\n<p>With Magento 2.4.5, the Adobe Commerce team has added Apple Pay as a payment option, as well as making some changes to the PayPal and Braintree payment options. Specifically, the improvements in payment functionality are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apple Pay is now available for all shops.<\/li>\n<li>PayPal&#8217;s Pay Later option is now available for shops in Italy and Spain.<\/li>\n<li>The store admin can now preview the PayPal Credit Card and Pay Later buttons in the back-end.<\/li>\n<li>Removed Braintree KNUNT fraud protection from Magento 2.4.5 code.<\/li>\n<li>A \u2018Always request 3DS\u2019 option has been added for Braintree payments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>PWA<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Studio<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>PWA Studio (what&#8217;s that?) v.12.5.x is now fully compatible with Magento version 2.4.5.<\/li>\n<li>The PWA Studio storefront collects customer behaviour for web analysis services via events.<\/li>\n<li>The store administrator can set up a service such as Google Tag Manager from the admin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Magento 2.4.5: problems solved<\/h2>\n<p>The upgrade solves over a hundred problems reported in previous versions.
